FACT

The tri-service control room desks were conceived as a method of implementing a new mobilising system with communications integration, common hardware, software and ways of working across the services for Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire.

As part of this the ability to expand from two control desks to a maximum of seven at each location, and to share data across all 21 desks allows the whole unit to be divisible into groups that can provide an ongoing service even in the event of a serious incident in one area’s remit.
